Hille Middle School Welcomes New Principal

On February 20, 2024, the Forest Ridge School District 142 Board of Education unanimously voted to hire Valerie Valente as the next Principal of Hille Middle School, beginning the 2024-2025 School Year.

Valerie Valente comes to Hille Middle School and District 142 with a great deal of energy, excitement, and substantial school leadership experience. Ms. Valente is a veteran educator, with 18 years of service at Park Forest-Chicago Heights School District 163. Ms. Valente has been a classroom teacher, school principal, curriculum coordinator, and district-level administrator. She brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique understanding of change and how it affects teachers, staff, students, and families. Her immediate goal is to immerse herself in the culture and family of Hille Middle School to best support this transition.

With a very strong leadership background, including key focuses in curriculum and instructional services, Ms. Valente is poised to continue and expand the student achievement strides at Hille Middle School. She has hands-on – both instructional and administrative – experience in the areas of Mathematics and Technology, including S.T.E.A.M. Programs. As Hille teachers, staff, and parents work together to ensure our middle school students are prepared to learn, live, and work in a fast-paced digital world, Ms. Valente’s unique instructional technology knowledge and practice will strongly support our students’ academic and career futures.

Ms. Valente cannot wait to get to know Hille students, teachers, staff, and families. You can count on seeing Ms. Valente at various upcoming District 142 student/staff/family events. We are excited for the entire District 142 Community to get know Ms. Valente.
